Show respect to earn respect. All great things require a collaborative environment in a team to accomplish. That’s true in both the for-profit and nonprofit spaces, but I always say that you can tell the true judge of a person’s character by the way he or she treats the last and the lonely, the Untouchables in other words. In order to gain respect one must first walk the walk and earn respect over time.
